has worked as an educator for over 20 years. She has taught as an adjunct Instructor at Columbia College - Chicago, The Museum of Contemporary Photography - Picture Me Program, Benito Juarez Highschool, Logan Square Neighborhood Association, Chimaltenango Orphanage in Guatemala, The Hyde Park Art Center, Gallery 37, Travelers’ and Immigrants Aid and run photography workshops at The Art Institute of Chicago and other community organizations. Central to Tone’s approach is the idea of collaboration and using the lens of your life experiences to critically look and examine the broader world. Through this process you can start a dialogue that takes you deeper into why photographers create the types of pictures they do.
